I will dominate 'serious fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
